Hi All,

Have just found out today that Jill and Paul of the cricketers arms in selby have handed there notice in. Less that 3 weeks ago they would not have dreamed of it. They were one of the lucky ones who had a brill food house and were allowed to carry on doing thier own food. This was taken off them last friday and they have lost ov er ?1,000 in food take since then. Today I was told they had handed in there notice. Thay Have not stated this is the reason but its sad goodbye to a management couple whome have over 21 years service and have stuck by the comapny thorough thick and thin. They will be sadley missed cant wait to see what numpties we end up with as the new gaffers.

I believe they have a new pub lined up so perhaps (hopefully) Paul and Jill could become contributors to this site in the near future

so its so sad to hear of another good team being forced to take these measures .....we have seen exactly the same but that was last june and the losses to sams was probably 4 fold in food sales the pub has never been the same since jill and steve  left.. well good news they are moving back to spalding in the summer that will sort out the weasel humph he be left with the die hards who only drink because its cheap  will we can see everyone leaving in droves good food ,a good friendly atmosphere,and proper lager not this bilge water no i think thats not fair on bilge water  . as anyone else pub been stripped of alpine yet??
so take heed humph spalding may be lucky to have your pub and drink your cheap beer as you said to us all recently well hopefully you will now begin to regret those comments with your total arrogance i doubt it hes got skin as thick as a rhinos and deaf with it so i may all hope one day he comes round from this nightmare hes creating.
