Is there a forum relating to the tenanted estate and farms as I feel sure there are quite a few stories that would make interesting reading ? Congrats on technical achievement on the site ...the code is really good..

..Still cant find property / estate section so presume its an area that you don't wish to enter . But as you must know there are more than 100 empty properties and planning laws are broken as Selby Planning cant afford to contest the breaches .

There is no area where we don't wish to enter!  ;)

Joking aside, the suggestion to open up this section, seemed a good idea, and quite topical of some recent posts. :)

Wouldn't it be interesting to have some idea of exactly what the family owned, I think they might make the Sunday Times Rich List if it was public knowledge. That would really go down well!!!!

They made the Times rich list about 8 or 9 years ago
and had themselves removed the following year.
For those who understand, no explanation is needed.

If i remember rightly , after being named in said "rich list"
is when all the secrecy started .
he didnt like the idea of people knowing what he was worth.
so he removed dray curtains and signage outside his pubs , no more advertising, he even romoved fleet numbers off stocktakers cars.
he thought that this was how the times had worked out his worth,
he didnt want people too know what he had.
I also think this is why he stopped music and tvs. it would be an easy way to see how many liciences he had , thus knowing how many pubs.
fookin sad man

Maybe Humph is embarrassed about his potential wealth, which would explain why he allegedly purchases his shoes from Oxfam. Still, he could always share some of that with me and a few others - then that would solve at least two problems!  ;)

SSOB have recently bought more business premises in Tadcaster.
They have bought six shops which includes a first floor flat & also a builders yard / office.
Any suggestion that the company is skint is absolute rubbish, the staff have just received a very generous 3% pay increase.

very lucky staff for getting a pay rise, humphs latest ruse to save money, is to tell managers if they do not make 5% surplus they are not entitled to the pay rise. which is impossible unless of course you have a length of hose pipe in the cellar, or you want to rob the customers of their legal right to a full pint.
