Name: The Boot and Shoe Inn - Location: Tockwith

Address: Marston Rd, Tockwith, York, North Yorkshire, YO26 7PR [01423 358232]
Always in support of the Samuel Smiths Brewery - although very concerned about the current company strategy towards its staff and customers, as exercised by the Directors. We believe in promoting common sense, decency, compassion, fairness and compliance with company, employment and English law.

Been in today and I must say it is a nice pub.  Saying that all the three Sam Smith pubs I've been into today where spot on.  The photo do not do it justice.

Does anyone know the opening hours for this pub (I'm also after the times of the pubs in Long Marston and Rufforth)
Thanks in advance

here are the opeing times for the Tockwith one. I think the Long Marsden & Tankard are both shut Monday. There times are roughly 12 - 3 i think.
The opinions that I express are my own !! A Fan of SSOB products. Time for a pint of OBB

Went back in at the Weekend, got there spot on opening time so we had the first OBB's pulled that day.  Only wished that every pint  was as good as that one.  Managers really knows their job.

Some more photo's to look at this time inside. Has always taken without anybody knowing.

Non-members can see these and over 200 more Sam's photo's on.............

But today's photo's will not go no until tomorrow.

Went in on Saturday, the first pint had a disgracefully large head. It was that large, I shouldn't have even had to ask for a top up.  When I got my second, I went to put on my ipod, and was told that Sams didn't have a licence, and it was their policy that I couldn't use my ipod. It certainly isn't Sams policy (ipods don't come under entertainment licence rules), and it's the first time I've had a problem in 5 years. Thanks to their heavy-handed attitude, the Sun at Long Marston made more profit from me than the Boot did. I won't darken their door again.

Heard today that the Manager here has handed in her notice. Real shame as they were good managers but it was knocked back to a single persons pub. Surely it has to be too much for one person to do?

I'm sorry if that is true

I will find out tomorrow lunchtime

she had her ways (don't we all ) but was fine with me

still it will give the usual suspects something to talk about tomorrow

realistically it was beyond anyone to run there single handed with HS rules and regs

now I owe M**e a pint as he said they would not be there at Christmas

Hope they do not close it as I will not go to the evil chain pub option - I'd rather be teetotal

Sad news. I like the couple there. Surprised the pub isn't on gumtree yet.

Sad news if true, more and more managers are resigning due to the pressure from above. Such a shame that Humphrey is losing good managers and replacing with pretty much anybody.
