Well Paid...ffs
Do they have any perception of the minimum wage and the number of hours most of if not all of their managers are doing.
Someone will challenge this issue shortly, I dont work for them but I did some years ago and had the good sense and personal circumstances to get the hell out.
Dont get me wrong, I love Sams products and they do have some wonderful, wonderful pubs and some real characters for customers, when you have drank regularly in a Sams pub for most of your life, you really do appreciate their pubs....however there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for treating their staff and customers as they are doing at present.
To reiterate some very sound advice that has already been given on this site, IF YOU ARE NOT IN A UNION.....GET IN ONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
A trade union will have all of the expertise at hand to take these people on, employment law is a minefield...believe me.
If you think you can take these people on single handedly. forget it, they have too much money and very expensive solicitors, and anyway by some of the posts i have already seen on this site, the unions would absolutely relish the prospect of having a go at them......they do leave themselves wide open....seriously wide open!!
If you are not already doing so, I would suggest a diary or day book, whatever you want to call it, and you record EVERY phone call, memo, and conversation you have with them, its tedious but will be vital when sorting out any dispute.
I have a great deal of experience of FOB and know exactly how he operates, I am not an emploment law solicitor but I do have a vast amount of experience in senior management, if I can offer any advice and support, please contact me through the system.
Good luck and best wishes.
