Heard a rumour yesterday that Laura Burley has left the company. Does anybody know if this is true and why she left. Was she pushed or did she jump on her own accord?

Does this mean that Humphrey is now the sole area manager for the entire country?

Heard on the grapevine today that Laura's houses all got letters saying Humph was their Area Manager as from today.

Yes also heard that Laura's pubs all got letters. Also heard Humphrey was at the Shoulder of Mutton in Bradford, last night with his folder under his arm, introducing himself as the new Area Manager.

Well, well, well. So Laura Birley has left the fold has she?
5 years ago, that woman had my missus and I travel 60 miles each way to Tadcaster to be interviewed for a pub. The interview went very well as we thought because she bounced up and down excitedly saying that she had at last found the right people. We left that interview 100% certain that it was ours.
What a load of nonsense that was. We never heard from her again regarding the matter which at the time was most important to us. This genuinely is not a story of sour grapes on our part, we are just  highlighting how you just can't trust these people at Smiths Towers.
She certainly was in the same mould as F'ing O'Brien and Humpty himself that's for sure.
