New Menu
« on: Jul 11 - 2010 »
I have been in a few Samuel Smith's pub this week and the menu on the chalk board seems very limited to only 5/6 items. Was then told that the menu is changing from Thursday, but can order the stuff from Monday or Tuesday this week. Anybody else know about this

I was in a Sam Smiths pub a bit back that was doing sandwiches on a dinner time.  Now that is a step forward.  Or should I say a backward step.

If I remember correctly, the brewery confirmed to me some weeks ago that there was going to be a vegan option on the new menu...it will be interesting to see what it is...usually, in my experience, more time and effort goes into the vegan option and it is usually cheaper than the dead animal flesh alternatives!

The Vegan Dish is A Green Thai Curry, It is also Gluten-Free,                                   A delicious vegetable curry of sweet potato, chick peas, peppers and spinach in a medium-spiced sauce flavoured with coconut, apricot, chilli, ginger, lemongrass and garlic, served with white rice.
Sounds nice to me, will let you know what its like when i serve one.

Yes the beef is ?7.95 and the Pork and Chicken is ?6.95. and yes it is priced so we can generate a 60% profit, Why not pop to your local butcher and buy a piece of Beef and a piece of Pork the same size, and then tell me you would sell them at the same price, As for the portion size I have had no complaints only compliments, I Weighed the meat the first time i cooked and sliced it and the customer gets 4 to 5 slices depending on the ratio of it, a selection of fresh Veg, Roast and Mashed Potatoes & Yorkshire Pudding.  "Oh" by the way Bubble, we don't do lamb, mind you the amount of sheep on Humph's land, can't see why, would be well cheaper to rear and kill your own.

Been in a Sams pub todya and the new menu was available, a lovely yellow colour. Did not see much difference really, but not got a nice pint of Sams on the cover now, is this meant to be a subtle change, as not to be recognised as SarahBrownridge.

Also heard that the managers can use a company called Sykes. Will add a link below
