"I Have been a customer at sinclairs for a few months now and can honestly say never been short measured yet" Thats a cracking statement there Darkknight. Samsmiths pint pots are brim fill glasses, and as such you are only getting, if you are lucky, 95% of what you have paid for. This is the legal limit that Smiths can serve you without being done for short measures. To achieve the 5% surplus you have to rob your customer because no allowances are made for returned pints, spillages etc. therefore to counter balance these unplanned losses heads as big as you can get away with are a must.
I have finished with the brewery (by choice) and have nothing to gain by what I am stating. You can't get a surplus on spirits, so its robbing the customer on cordial shots/pints of cordials/and large heads that save the day.
Oldbrewerydrinker and shemon are quite correct, the sooner weights and measures step in the better.
