i was a manager 4 him and i did geniunely get robbed of the takings, humphrey did not give a sh*t i had my face smashed up made me go back 2 work that evening, no doctor the police were more concerned then didn't pay me my last months pay or bond back.. there is a lady at the bbc that has filmed a documentary about him b4 and she is quite disgusted if anyone is up 4 it

Sorry to har your story and symphasise completely. A similar thing happend to a manager in the Leeds area. Humphrey has no morals and doesn't care whether the managers are hurt or injured, just about the money. Surely the money is insured along with the pub (did hear a rumour that he doesn't bother insuring many pubs).

Not getting paid is totally unacceptable as well. The documentory was in 2009 i think and was a short film about the power of the SSOB empire. Good luck if you take on SSOB

Why are they making a follow up film or just want to speak to more unfortunate former managers of SSOB pubs.

Thanks and look forward to the update. But i don't think much will have changed over the last few years. More and more managers are changing more frequently, and more people are applying that are not right for the job. Shall wait and see

Yes hopefully another dose of the media coverage of the power and influence Humphrey (SSOB) has over the people of Tadcaster and further afield. As well as making managers feel unwanted and not cared about.

SSOB and Humphrey himself are very secretive about their business affairs and how much they are worth. May be one day, with everyone's help on here we shall get closer to the truth and the family wealth.

Wonder if Humphrey is planning any more big openings of his latest pub refurbishments.

Why shouldn't they be secretive?  All I want them to do is treat their customers and staff properly.
