Ian - 1. No red herrings 2. didn't purposefully withold the fact this was on behalf of other customers, it was intended in the first instance to keep just to the relevant facts 3. sorry, don't understand the damage bit

Strangler - no other agenda (whatever that means)

This does seem to have veered away from the original post.  Eclipses response was much appreciated so as far as I - and  the other people this is on behalf of are concerned - a line has been drawn underneath it.

This is a open forum for all to see, including Sam Smith's, and the authorities.

1. You stated that the quiz was not in good taste and people where walking out, you also implied it was the managers fault for not proof reading the questions.

2. That there was children in the room. That could be against the licensing laws for that pub.

3. You stated that the managers was at your side of the bar drinking. Implying they should have been working.

Geronimo, now try reading your post from the eyes of their bosses at Sam Smith's . Then maybe the penny will drop why you should have brought up your concerns with the manager in person.

Your not the first and you won't be the last one to post without thinking about the consequences their post can make to the manager concerned.

Thank you.  I understand now and admit I didn't realise there could be a knock on effect  :(

Thank you for getting back. I hope you stick around on the forum. Can you maybe take some photo's of the Blackpool pubs so we can all see what they look like. I'm planing to visit them sometime this year.

the managment do not allow children in premises

Yes they do.

A few months ago we wanted to bring our toddler grandchild in but as friends pointed out the notice on the pub door says no children allowed so we didn't.

Not so long afterwards on a Sunday afternoon last November a young couple came in with their baby and sat at a table complete with pram at the front of the bar for the best part of the afternoon.  They were not asked to leave.

We were told the baby was actually Eclipses grandchild but if I this is incorrect I do apologise but the point remains that they WERE allowed in.

On several occasions young children of school age have been allowed in for lengths of time but this was apparently ok because management had given permission.

Had I known this I could have brougt my grandchild in after all.
