I purposely did not answer this post has I too believe it was not made by a adult.  But saying that Poppy as been a member now for two months.

Poppy as made so very serious allegations against the manager/s of the Mill Inn. Maybe Poppy does not realise the implications of his post.

ian.

I nearly didn't bother writing a reply, as i thought it was not a brilliant post. Plus the fac that as stated serious allegations were made by the member. Not what we need on here at the moment, as the site appears to be under attack again. By persons unknown, but probably used by someone

hi sir ,,i do apoligies for the message but i do feel very disturbed about something that accured to me at the bird in hand in mobberly cheshire ,,i am a 55 year old man ,a good citizen warden of the local church and give to lots of good causes in wilmslow and the cheshire area ,,any way apart from this i have a complait about the way i was treated in your pub ,i have been drinking in the bird and hand for 18 years ever since i moved from london ,i was there on friday as normal at 615 bought two drinks for me and a freind ,he then bought me one ,left and went home ,as i love the pub and the prices are great also i meet people there i met 18 years ago ,in fact great pub
on saturday i did the same arrive at 5 15 for two drinks ,so i arrived before my mate and walked to the bar past the supplie land lady sat on a chair with no shoes on and here feet up ,i bought the two drinks and the service was polite but for some reason i felt things were far from ok ??????nothing said to me
my mate came in and the manager asked him for a chat ,so they both left the room ,on his return i asked what was that about ??,some one the night before had driven into the carpark and smashed into two cars then drove out which is on the cctv i belive and as far as i was aware they were accuseing me ,apart from the slander that is pointed at me ,,which i will persue ,the driver was in a shogun ,apart from me not or never owning a shogun it would have been better they checked the carpark firts to see if i came in such a car ,i own two cars a merc and a citron,i am totaly embarressed and angry  at the thought of these two people looking at me and think that im the type that would do such a thing ,i cant understand how also you employ such people and if you want a pub like the bird in hand run properly you should thing of people either local with a knowlage of the fine people in the area and not be so judgemental on people they dont know ,if you ever want advice on how it should be done let me know as i have been in managment in the fashion buissness all my life running large numbers of people ,,and concepts that i either think your running your buissness as a non oprofit buissness and things like this dont help ,i think the handerling by your managers was very poor
i look forward to your reply till then i will drink in your other pub the whipping stocks
regards phil gaskell

For a church warden who ''has been in business all my life'' I despair of the standard of spelling, punctuation and grammar shown.

I would not normally comment on such things as fortunately there are members of the forum from all walks of life, but if someone is making such claims in a post, then the post should at least be in decent English. That might at least make the brewery take it seriously.
