Sorry, guys and gals, I find:

"For those who don't understand, no explanation is possible"

without explanation, unacceptable (as they say nowadays!").

I am a frequenter of Sam Smiths pubs and used to run a folk club in one for 9 years - something which would not be allowed now.  We currently have a gathering of retired work colleagues every month, just because the "price is right".  Please explain what you mean.  I look at this website every now and again in the hope that Sams will get the message but personal vendettas and talking in computer speak will not help!!

Aye.... JBGatelad as the China Daily so succinctly said one time,

"The context-less sentence can be a reminder that roaming through cyberspace should never detract from what one does in real life"
As they say in Oswaldtwistle " If you catch a weasel asleep, you can pi** in it's ear"

Earth calling Yorkshire
Its been a very slow news day of late and just trying to provoke a bit of response

Its very simple if you type the numbers 772 into any phone
you get SSB which stands for Sam Smiths Brewery
A similar one is the food suplier 3663 which spells FOOD
Thought you might of got it sorry.
So Andrewtwelvetrees would you care to enlighten
us all of the relevance of the772?

Wouldn't mind betting andrewtwelvetrees is Graham Horton, one of Humphreys yes men.  I have heard he keeps an eye on this site and reports back to Humphrey because H can't use a computer himself.
                                                                                                                               I am not Graham Horton.

Okay Alpine I will tell you but it's no great mystery. When I started my user name off with google they said the name was unavailable and gave me some options one of which was with the 772 after it so I chose that.

May we now get back to what this site is all about

I apologise if I have distracted anyone in doing this

Thanks Alpine Drinker for pointing out my mistake, it should have read Christian Horton and apologies to Graham who is a decent chap.

As you say, back to more important issues!

Why does everyone pick on the Smith brothers Humphrey and Oliver, two nicer people you couldn't meet.

You are either winding us all up - or live in a very different world to most who post at this site. Or maybe you are a close friend or family member of Humphs., and not aware of the reality in which hundreds of people are being hurt by this man's actions? A man who seems to have difficulties hiding his racism, sexism, (the list goes on). A man who would appear to have little respect for the law - or anyone he considers below his station (most people). Simply by stating that a person, or persons are 'nice people' doesn't make it so. The proof is in the pudding as so to speak.

Or may be you think that everyone is simply lying?

----------------------------------------------------------

Just a note for other members who may think this is a previous member, returning with a wind-up - I can confirm that it is not the case, and this person 'Dracula' has been verified (without divulging his identity) as being York based, and who provides a horse racing tipsters service.

Always in support of the Samuel Smiths Brewery - although very concerned about the current company strategy towards its staff and customers, as exercised by the Directors. We believe in promoting common sense, decency, compassion, fairness and compliance with company, employment and English law.

Ok - assuming this isn't a wind up - but in the interests of balance - Dracula, do give us some examples of them being nice. Do they help old ladies across the road perhaps? Are they kind to animals?

My apologies Dracula - having read another of your posts 'fan club T-Shirt', it is now evident that your question was not a serious one! My fault for biting!  :-*

It's just we have had a very few members in the past, who would ask such questions, and make such statements as if they meant them, apparently just to wind up everyone else.

No oh contrare, my request for fan club members was sincere. The Smiths have done a lot for the Tadcaster community, and this should be recognised, a Knighthood perhaps, or at least a hood.

I am finding the consistent, complaining about the eminent Smith family very biased, surely like me, there must be other people in Tadcaster who may have good things to say about them.  :o

Can I make a request via your site to the Smith Brewery, as follows:
When are you going to do the decent thing and open a Public House in Acomb York, it is about time you did.
An innocent Bystander.
