For attention of the people who actually care about regulars!
My partner and i have been drinking in the Jube for years, As well as a group of 11 Friends. We've seen alot of managers come and go. But I am sorry! The new management are horrid people. To follow is just some of what has been happening in the past 2 months.
1. Their underage teenage daughter collects glasses, occasionally serves behind the bar and is often seen with a glass of wine in her hand.
2. The management is rude.
3. Over the past month out of 11 of us which would go for a drink each Friday and Saturday they have barred 5 of them. 1 we all agree with because he was an idiot but on the other occasions they through out one of our friends with a disability because they believe he was on drugs and physically escorted him out of the pub and made a scene about it. Another one was outside having a cigarette and at 11.15 the female management came to the door and shut him out with his drink and coat still inside, he knocked the door to retrieve his coat and she started slagging him off and swearing at him telling him he was barred. (he never got his coat back) Another one, a friend who is in university in Leeds who hasn't been to the Jube for around 6 months got barred because apparently he is a 'cocky bastard that does nothing but cause trouble during the quiz every week and disrupts peoples evening. This i will admit is an accomplishment for him all the way in Leeds. When he told them this was not the case and they had the wrong person he was physically and aggressively removed from the pub and told not to come back.
4. There was a sign placed on the notice board from the management stating that if people didn't like how they ran it they should find somewhere else to drink.
Although i do admit with the amount of us that go in at once we do get noisy sometimes but we always have the up most respect for every other person that drinks in there as it is a community pub and we all get along. We have never caused any trouble, nor would we want to, and if we believed anyone was getting too rowdy or out of control we would send them on their way.
This pub has gone down hill and has lost alot of customers of late not including us. The management need to be sacked or at least taught some people skills. It is disgusting how they treat people and if i get treated in the way any of my friends or even other people have been treated I will be pressing charges.
There is a boycott being planned for this pub, it is going to go down hill when it looses out the custom of the under 40's. Get in some new managers that are not stuck up and know how to run a pub.
