It is a big clue as to the ownership and most people in Tadcaster ignore it anyway and walk on the land.

Yes the timber bollards are a give away, plus there is a sign there saying no right of way across this land, which everyone chooses to ignore.

No right of way signs are a legal nicety to ensure the property never accidentally gets to actually be a right of way by virtue of being left vacant for years.

Typical of SSOB to finda  technical reason why there's no public access, probably after a few years he may not do something with it. Similar to the rights of way near the Nun Appleton Hall, all blocked off, long enough to stop it been a right of way.
