It could be a long drawn out fight against the Council and other parties, as to wether a Sam's pub will every be built on this piece of land. I think the architects are just doing a thorough job with the name incorporated on the building. But i think this shows us that SSOB Southern must own other pieces of land in London, which have the potential to be used as pubs. May be there is a long term plan after all.

They already have planning permission so it's a done deal as long as Sams meet the two conditions, which are stone cladding and brickwork that meet the criteria of the local conservation zone. Mind, got to admire Hump for trying to use his own Yorkshire stone!

Probably as it's from his own quaries  :P

I've come to this topic a bit late and am trying to get up to speed. A brilliant bit of detective work guys and it just goes to prove what we've always known - Humphrey owns land and sites all over the place. It also proves the timescale that he operates on - decades rather than months - unless my eyesight is bad the plans are dated 1990 - which explains why they display Sam Smith branding. Are we saying that a permission has been granted/extension permitted based on these twenty year old drawings? Is it a case of keeping an old permission from lapsing? Sorry if this has been covered already - and keep up the good work - just the sort of information being discussed in public that would infuriate Humphrey.
