I have posted this in an attempt to quash scaremongering, by one or two members that do not seem to understand what has been previously been posted, and emailed to existing members..
SO ALL - PLEASE READ THIS..
You have the option to make your email address visiable to other site members. Control is via: Profile > Modify Profile > Account Related Settings.
Just because you can see your own email address (by clicking on the envelope symbol, to open up an email reply window) this does not mean others can see your email!!Everyone's view of this website, can vary, depending on their individual preferences, and settings.
Whilst the option to hide your email address is clearly visible, when signing up - a number of members either missed the option, or were not bothered about hiding their email address from other members - may be because they have an anonymous email address.
However, I have made all members email addresses invisible to each other - so anyone wishing to make their email address visible to other members, will have to access their profile settings to reactivate it.Unfortunately, someone earlier, panicked at seeing their own email address, and made a public post claiming that this website was not safe and secure - needless to say, I was not at all happy that someone was posting un-true information.
