Been told this week that a Sam Smith's pub (I do know which one but will not post the name on here yet) ran out of OBB and could not get any more until the next delivery so he went out and bought 2 barrels of John Smith's to tide him over the 2/3 days before the dray came.

Now some might not believe it's true, but I do think the two people who told me was telling the truth. 

This did happen 4 years ago and I believe the manager as now left the company.

Well Ian you certainly started something here. All about a rummer that was supposed to have happened 4(FOUR) years ago. 

Did one of your ancestors write about the good Samaritan, that is a story that is still doing the rounds

Only passing on what I was told.  The couple who told me have nothing to gain by telling me lie's, and still believe that they were telling me the truth.
