Just back in sunny Scarborough.

Only had chance to go in two - The Glasshouse Stores and The Cock. Had me first pint of keg OBB in the GHS. Nice pub, literally yards from the Duke of Argyll (I think?).  Had separate cellar in basement bar that was closed and the stairs to upstairs were roped off. Keg OBB, not bad, like it better than Sov but a bit on the cold side. The had a quick couple in the Cock. Hand pull OBB as DB said, not a bad pint. However, barman ruined the second pint because he was talking as he pulled it and tried to put the head on last, what a div? Place was a bit dusty and toilets were dated and smelly. Don't think I would bother visiting again although it only yards from Oxford Street.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions by the way.

Soho has quite a number of Samuel Smith's pubs and they are easily walkable to.  Cask Old Brewery Bitter is a bit of a rarity in London, if I recall...and I will be on the look-out for it too myself next week.

DB.

It is a shame that not more SS London pubs stock the OBB cask. But understand that it's along way from Tadcaster

Cask Old Brewery Bitter is a bit of a rarity in London, if I recall...DB.

Depends on the area. In central London everything in Soho is keg I believe (the Red Lion used to be real but apparently now keg as well, according to beerintheevening.) but east of Charing Cross Road  all have Cask OBB except the Crown on New Oxford St.

Fitzrovia/Marylebone - in other words north of Oxford street it is a mix.

From memory and some not visited for a long time, so not guaranteed it's as follows.

Cask

Dover Castle
Yorkshire Grey
Horse & Groom
Bricklayers
Blue Post
Cock

Keg
Champion
Angel in the Fields
Fitzroy Tavern

I've probably forgotten one or two as well

I know there are not many in London that do sell OBB cask. Such a pity really  :P

Thanks and seems about right. Obviously the The Cardinal is now the Windsor Castle

Normally I would NEVER forget The Cock, but it is one I have not been to, so can't comment on the cockerel.
