This is probably a daft question, but, not being an IT type, I could do with a hint!. How do I post photographs on the site?

I think if you post or reply to a post, you should look at the area above the smillie's for a paper clip button or at the bottom of the box where I/you are typing that says "Attachments and other options".

Good luck!

PHEW, when seeing the post name I was thinking that I was in trouble again. :'(

Dead simple, if I can do it anybody can.

Just click on Attachments and Other Options below this box. That will bring up another box where you can download upto 8 photos, one at a time.

Thank you Ian and East Coast Beer Drinker. Will be taking the dogs walking round Oxton during Christmas and New Year. Thinking of taking my camera with me.

A update on this post...........  Quite a few posts where made on here but have been lost............

Saucy Queen did not take any photos of Oxton Hall.

Just to make it very clear, the law states that you can take photos of anything you want to do including policeman doing their jobs, as long as you are standing in a public place.  I.E.  A public road or a public footpath.  Noboby can legally stop you, but common sense must be the keyword.  What you have to be very careful about is taking photos on private property and putting them on a public forum.  There are limits on how far you can push things.   ;D

Speaking as someone who got thumped in the nose last year for taking a shot of an angler in a public place, I made sure I knew what the law says about it. Unfortunately he legged it.

This is also worth a watch:

PS  Why am I suddenly a newby?

When you are posting there is an option below the box that you type in which states:

Attachments and other options

Click this and a "box" open with options.  Chose the Attach one and browse your computer to find the photo that you want to attach.  Hope that helps?  Good luck.

Yes that is a very good one. It was on Geograph a few months back.  Always nice when the police get it right.
