membership status

Hi

Despite my advanced years and joined the SS forum in 2009, apparently I am a "junior" member !

what are the rules and requirements of this membership status policy ?

Is is because I am from the south ?

Hi Southener,

The automated rating system, is based on your number of posts.  The next threshold is 20, and as you have a current figure of 19 - replying to my message should automatically boost you to the next status level.

But seeing you are from down south, were things can be so inflated, you will need to make another 100 posts to improve your current status! Only joking!

Yes it just depends on the number of posts and after a while you don't get a new status after senior member. I have lost quite a few posts after the problems with the site.

i was going to ask if there was a list when status changed... but looking at the member list it looks to me like it changes from 'newbie' to 'jr. member' around 10 posts? then the next threshold will be 20 posts?
is this correct?

Newbie is 0 - 9
Junior member is 10-19
Full member is 20 - 49
Senior member is 50 upwards.

thanks for that, but i'm still thinking it must be around 10 for Jr. since i'm now on 7 (8 with this) and still showing as newbie, unless something needs to refresh at the server end but i wouldn't have thought so.
not to worry though, it will change in the next day or so i'm sure :-)

You are quite right and I made a mistake with my list, which I have now corrected!

PS. If you go to the Members tab at the top-right you can see a list of members.  It's possible to order these by different categories, including number of posts.

i've more or less got navigating the main parts of this site down so i'm good with the rest as i discover it.
i did find the map already, i found that very interesting, didn't know the range of the 'empire' until recently.

So there are about 10 - 15 members that post regularly on here and another 2 thirds that don't post but read the site. The map is interesting the empire is pretty much spread throughout the country. There are some gaps in places where you would expect a SS pub to be. We need more people onthe ground to try and find the extra pubs that have not been found yet.

Mine also went down when two topics that i commented were removed by a member. This is probably the reason. One was "access denied error"
