a friend of mine is now suffering from depression since having recent dealings with humph, apparently he was threatened with losing his home.personally i would have gone to the press over his threats and maybe even the police. cant talk to my friend about it for fear of pushing him completely over the edge. at one point he was in imminent danger of being sectioned. thanks to that odious little fart.

i was really upset when i read about the manager being threatened with the sack and losing his home no wonder he is depressed, but dosent his freind who wrote the article realise that the smith brothers run there estate with fear managers who want to keep their jobs would not dare go to the press, so perhaps this mans freind could do it for him. one thing that really gets their back up is bad publicity

id love to go to press, but my concern is for my friends mental health and humph aint worth risking that for.perhaps when hes stronger we can get together and take action then.my main concern is that he gets better as soon as with no lasting damage

why has there been no word on this site from the union reps to let the managers know what is happening with all these cases that are supposed to be going to court, there never seems to be any feedback, i thought this site was set up to help to keep people in touch, is there any light at the end of the tunnel or have the smiths really got there own way when it comes to breaking the law, and mr admin are you not in a position to inform the media, you say you are not an employee so you dont have to worry about disciplinary hearings

I have in the past, contacted most of the media, and recently arranged a meeting between one victim and their local MP. At the time, the media seem quite keen - but in the cold light of day (as so to speak) they seem reluctant to put things to print.

If I had to make a guess, I would say that the media are often bombarded with disgruntled ex-employees from all walks of life - often exaggerating the story. I feel in our case - the media think it's too unbelievable to be true!

Last time I did a media release, the News of The World were going to run copy on the weekend - but backed out when they realized it was a general release - and they were (I now believe) looking for an 'exclusive'.

So next time, I will get in touch with the same reporter - and no one else - and offer it as an 'exclusive', as long as they run with it within a matter of days.

I think it's only a matter of time - unless of course some miracle happens at Taddy Towers
Always in support of the Samuel Smiths Brewery - although very concerned about the current company strategy towards its staff and customers, as exercised by the Directors. We believe in promoting common sense, decency, compassion, fairness and compliance with company, employment and English law.

As posted elsewhere on this site, the most recent batch of Employment Tribunal hearings are due to be heard in Sheffield in early March - and the Union is involved in these cases. Why not contact the Union direct for an update - again, their details are posted elsewhere on this site.

The only miracle likely to happen at Taddy Towers is that Humphrey himself is sectioned under the Mental Health Act - the lunatics running the asylum and all that...

Always hoping!
A pint before the trouble starts.....
