I found this brief part of an article from the Yorkshire Gazette,Aug 1863,which advertises to let an old established brewery, maltings and land in Appleton Roebuck.I have no idea where this was but opposite the Roebuck pub is a big house called the Maltings, coincidence? will keep digging.

In the Kelly's Directory from 1877 it shows one James Thompson,Buck Inn,brewer, maltster and farmer and even further back in 1823 one Richard Wheatley, victualler,Buck, brewer and maltster. "old established" could be ?
