Thanks Bitterboy, but what is the 'house of trembling madness' ?

I'm hopeless at cryptic crosswords!

If you do mean the houses in the photo.

No they are not owned by SSOB.

Even if Brewery properties are empty. They are kept in reasonable repair.

On a different subject.
The bank opposite SSOB offices has shut (HSBC).
The sign outside the building says, FOR SALE may let.
It is with Chadwicks who are the brewery property agents.
It seems strange that they would want to sell such a prominent / historic building in Tad. Opposite their offices  :o

Hi all,
I live there (but my flat is okay. Phew!),
The gable end of the flats on the corner has collapsed and fallen onto the roof of the adjoining flats, causing quite serious damage to the roof.
I feel sorry for the guys who live there.

Can't see many brick ties and I can't see any roof retaining straps.  By looks of it somebody was not doing their job properly.  Was the scaffolding already up or was it put up today?

Is it the newish 3 story flats that are on the left as you turn into Wighill Lane?  If so, I would guess all the others will have to be checked.
