Yorkshire best bitter,3.7% not hand-pulled,guess its same as Tadcaster bitter you get in pubs I've been to in Rochdale?,also have dark and light mild and wheat beer and Stingo in bottles although at over ?9 a bottle it's much cheaper from elsewhere.

Ah! So the elusive Tadcaster bitter finally makes an appearance in Tadcaster. Another good reason to visit the A&WH. Thanks Bitter Boy.

A long time in coming, also seen it in Knaresborough recently. So must be making more of it lately. Just noting at the A & W, that it has OBB,Sovereign, Light & Dark Mild, and Tadcaster Bitter, think this is too many bitter options. Have to see how the sales go  :GIVEB:

You're probably right but look how many variants of Copper Dragon and Timothy Taylor's there are and if anywhere should stock the full range it should be the flagship pub. Getting through each one would be my idea of a good session!

Odd that as in the Flower of the Valley in Rochdale the Tadcaster Bitter pump head's now read "Best Bitter" (Right next to the Sovereign that is dearer)!

Mr Smith thinking cheap is best again eh?

Doesn't sound like a good business move, but might be due to the pumps or the piping to it.

Just adding a few photos after the refurbishment of this pub.

Edited to add.....

Just come across this photo on Geograph  http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3537018   I wonder if they would have been welcomed in the Angel dressed like that?

Very nice photos Ian. Don't forget that it's his workforce paying for the refurbs not him.  C==CC
That's him in the smiley by the way.
