They have been there a long time, must be getting bored. Does nobody want this lovely pub ? I know it is pretty quiet though.

Think the brewery are finding it hard 2 get someone.. Replacement also needed 4 the rose & crown @ Askham Richard as well.. The manager in there leaves this week I think.

Yes they seem to be struggling to fill certain vacancies at the moment. The Buckles is a lovely pub, but is very quiet for a couple. Not sure if it will be doing food as well. Think the manager at the Rose & Crown leaves Friday. Sad to see another good manager leave

It would be a crying shame if they didn't in that location!

It would be also good if they put cask obb back in there.. In fact cask obb should be everywhere. Obb shouldn't come out of tin.

Passed Buckles on our way back from a day in the Dales today. Thought, "H'mmmm.... nice pint of Extra Stout in Buckles."

It was closed at 4.10pm. All doors firmly locked. Looking deserted and on the outside pretty run down. Pity.

One of the problems with Buckles is that if you are driving east on the A64, you are passed it before you know it. An early sign might be good Humphrey. But I know you won't take any notice of me.

What a shame, used to be packed, weekends especially with the kitchen doing what they did. Trouble is with Buckles is it needs something to draw you there and it used to be the food.  Good idea about the advance sign......

I believe that the Buckles has fairly short opening times during the day, think it shuts by 2.30. Sucha  pity about the food, as it used to be very good and packed out. Seems that nobody wants this pub, as it has had reliefs in since January I think.

A sign would be good, but Humphrey won't allow it, as you can just drive past and miss it.

This is what happens when large organisations get handed down to heirs. At some point a clueless crank will be at the stern. The man is weird and irrational.
