Thanks Ian, so it does have a practical use after all.

As our PM would say. " I refer you to an answer I gave a few moments ago"  :-*

Been back in tonight and have to say that the OBB was spot on.  While there a bus load walked in and the bar maid served then and 3 others customers all at the same time and did not brake sweet. Well done to her.

Does it still have the same managers from April 2010? I think he was a lorry driver.

Took the wife out for her annual trip away from the kitchen sink tonight and have a drink or two in here tonight.  To my surprise there was no Alpine pumps any more. Being a little bit nosy I asked why?  Only a handful of customers drank it so the managers  asked if it could be taken out and replaced with Light Mild.  Was told it was selling well.   I tried a pint or two while there and it did go down a treat.

Note the pub # on the last photo 693 is this the highest number we've seen so far.

Or did you have Yorkshire Bitter?  ?S?

Doesn't help when it's YB on the bar pump but Light Mild on the price list! I got confused by this earlier this year. Not had either, but would like to try it.

Another elusive beer is the Tadcaster bitter. Not seen or tried that one.

I've got:

694 - Horse & Jockey, Rochdale
696 - Golden Lion, Loftus

The preceding one is 692 - Fox & Hounds, Boston Spa

Yes they are the same product, from earlier discussions. It's not in every SS pub though. The Tadcaster bitter seems to be exclusive to the Rochdale area, well thats where I have seen it. It tastes ok.

With regards the SS pub no.s the highest i have seen is the 696 at the Golden Lion at Loftus.
The opinions that I express are my own !! A Fan of SSOB products. Time for a pint of OBB

Just adding another photo. This one is of the back way in from the indoor market.   This photo will remain for members only.

Yeah there is still a lot with the windows, but I thought they took all the signage down years ago? Unless this is one that got away :SRD

Photo only 3 days old.  There's quite a few pubs around the country that still have Samuel Smiths imprinted on their  windows. And there is still the odd one or two with Samuel Smiths above the doors.
