The unique selling point of all of Sam Smiths draught and bottled beer, lager and stout is that they're different and high quality (regardless of personal taste). Taddy is a typical provincial brewer's lager of the kind that went out of production pretty much everywhere for one simple reason: They were crap. Alpine is different and stands well above all the so-called premium lagers like Kronenburg and Stella. My Sams local gets a lot of passing trade, most of which is suspicious of the non-recognisable products on sale - until they taste them and then ask if there's been a mistake as they've seemingly got too much change! That said, I've still seen people walk out because there's no John Smiths, Fosters, etc, and getting rid of Taddy in there won't help as Alpine is a big deal when in comes to 'converting' people.
