Earl Of Lonsdale - Apperance on lovejoy
« on: Jan 14 - 2013 »
Was watching lovejoy repeats on sky (yesterday channel 537) and caught a glimpse of the Earl Of Lonsdale. HS out for free advertising again in nineties and it defo done that way it shows tinker (lovejoys sidekick) entering the pub and leaving but camera pans to the Samuel smith sign. does look like it needed a few of humphs millions spending on it have to admit but after looking at ians brillant collection of photos it seems humphs spent a bit of cash on the pub.  Shame he went against advertising i bet he could get a lot of free advertising cos his pubs have such a picturesque and attractive appeal to TV and would fit in with the varied properties in humphs portfolio.

The exterior of this pub is also featured in an early episode of the Bill: 'The Tourist Trap'

Why has Humph taking away all the signs that show if you are in a Sam Smiths pub or not.

Are the ones in Tadcaster the same, surely at least those are advertised as those are on the door step of where the beer is made.
