Flooding in Tadcaster
« on: Dec 29 - 2015 »
The brewery yard copped it during the floods. Looks like the brewery escaped though but the High Street looks like a disaster zone.

I have heard that Tadcaster is bad , but plenty of other towns have also been effected by the weather. Wonder if the dray wagaons are still getting out and about ?  :S*

Might in the new year take a trip to Tadcaster and see what is happening, as not been for a while.

The opinions that I express are my own !! A Fan of SSOB products. Time for a pint of OBB

This is a link to September? .

Tonight I shall be raising a glass to both the Yorkshire Regiment and the Lancashire Battalion who have been drafted to help in the flood relief, cheers!! Perfect training for driving skills in flooded areas. The Marines could be next.  Perhaps Humps might be persuaded to donate some festive cheer by way of thanks.

Good on them Centurion, enjoy your beer. I don't think Humphrey will be that generous, even for the festive season.

Here is a link to a video of the bridge collapsing at Tadcaster, wonder how Humphrey will get home now  :() or will he sleep at the brewery.

Not been to Tadcaster since the floods but is it possible to get across the viaduct like they did last time it flooded the Hump even opened a temporary footpath through to heatherdene (possibly so the brewery workers could get to work)

Shame about the bridge its actually 2 bridges as the first was only wide enough for a cart so they built another in the same style next to it to widen the carrageway. This can be seen if you walked under the arches.
