Always thought Newcastle would of had a Samuel Smiths pubs few due to being a major northern city and having some beautiful traditional architecture ????.
Be great if some places sold the OBB/Sovereign and Stout as well as I know one pub has there IPA on but thats 1 more then I can afford as I'm a cheap skate sometimes.

There are three SS pubs in Newcastle.
One is in North Shields, one in Chillingham (but don't go, it's definately a locals pub), and there is one near the foot tunnel in Jarrow.

What's this one in Chillingham? I think you mean South Shields!

To answer under250,  I don't think the brewery historically ever had a look in with the stranglehold of  S&N,  Bass etc. More recently he's had problems with all of his Tyneside pubs,  except the Prince of Wales. Property prices are through the roof in the city and in fairness there hasn't been a pub up for sale freehold for years.

Yes, I think Chillingham is the nearest Metro to the Adan & Eve pub, which is in South Shields.

It's Chichester in South Shields but it's meant to be the worst SS pub from various people.

It's the worst SS pub I've ever been in. Very unfriendly locals, crap beer, felt I was going to be mugged any moment. Couldn't wait to get out of the place.

You often wonder why he keeps it going as there are a number of places that would love to have a SS pub.
