Always in support of the Samuel Smiths Brewery - although very concerned about the current company strategy towards its staff and customers, as exercised by the Directors. We believe in promoting common sense, decency, compassion, fairness and compliance with company, employment and English law.

This is lovely medium sized Sams pub opposite a duck pond. A small car park and beer garden. Nice inside and friendly staff. Next to the ladies prison
The opinions that I express are my own !! A Fan of SSOB products. Time for a pint of OBB

Went in here for Sunday Dinner, was not planned it just happened.  The meal was not bad and everybody that was in the pub was having a meal while we was there.

This pub has come on leaps and bounds since the new staff too over.  The place is spotless and my OH says the beer is on top form.  And they are such nice friendly people (Shh. dont tell HS or he will move them)
Just one problem though - they are not permanent staff.  More's the pity.
The lady used to have the pub in Long Marston when it was thriving.

Good to hear.  I used to go there in the 70's ( if I remember rightly). A cracking pub that deserves success.

From todays York Press that the managers who have been in the pub for the last two years have been asked to leave without notice. Village not happy as they had turned pub round and no reason given for their dismissal. As usual no comment from brewery

Sorry can't seem to copy a link
